LUCKY'S HOUSE — At one time in my life, I considered myself pretty lucky. Whenever there was a drawing to win something of minimal worth from ages 7 to about 14, I just knew I was going to win it.
For example, I won tickets at my elementary school to go see a special sneak preview of the movie "The Witches." I also won a drawing out of the whole school to take a trip to the airport to see the world's largest cargo plane. I even won a cell phone at a college football game. They never gave it to me because they said I was too young, but I knew I was going to win all of those things.
I considered that seven-year span to be my lucky years, but now I realize I've never really experienced real luck. Not like the people in this video at least.
Catalonia is an autonomous community in Spain and home to 7.6 million people, including the three luckiest people in the world. In this video, a tree is being cut down in Cornellà de Terri in Catalonia and a crowd is there to watch. The tree starts to fall and it appears like it's headed for the crowd of onlookers, so some take off running in the opposite direction. But the tree takes a turn mid-air, likely due to some kind of "safety" wire attached to it, and starts falling for three people who decided to run from the tree.
Somehow the tree falls right in between and three, missing them by what looks like inches. All three walk away without any injuries. The video is heart-stopping even though you know everyone is going to be OK.
First off, I'm so happy all three people are safe and sound, and secondly, I hope they entered some drawings to win some cell phones. But the child who is one of the lucky three should know there is a good chance the company won't give him the phone due to his age.
