CELLO PRACTICE — String instruments like the cello, violin and viola are beautiful instruments when they are played well.

I played viola in junior high, but truth be told, I got bored with it. Not that I didn't think the music we were playing was pretty, but it got old and eventually I stopped playing. If you handed me a viola I wouldn't know what to do with it.

That's unfortunate, but I have a feeling if I had been learning songs by AC/DC on the instrument, I may have stuck with it. See how I'm blaming others for my own failures? It's a gift I have.

Anyway, this string quartet is known as Thalia Strings and this is their rendition of the classic rock song "Thunderstruck" from Aussie rockers AC/DC. The tune is infectious on these instruments and watching it is even better because these women love what they're doing and they're having a great time.

If you like watching and listening to Thalia Strings rock out to AC/DC, then make sure to check out some of their other covers like Aerosmith's "Dream On" or the Kansas classic "Carry On Wayward Son."
