SALT LAKE CITY — It’s Tuesday, but feels like Monday because of the holiday. To add to the woe of facing a new workweek, the snow made for a slow, slippery commute this morning.
If you are having a rough start to your work week, we have a pick-me-up for you.
The KSL.com “Make Your Week” column features uplifting stories sent in from people outside the newsroom. To send in the stories that have made your day better, email them in 100 words or less to fjolley@ksl.com. Photos and videos are encouraged.
Kindness during car troubles
Cliff M.
“I was driving west from Morgan when suddenly our car had a blowout on the right front. I carefully brought the car to a stop and began changing the tire when a good Samaritan stopped and helped me change the tire and get safely on our way.”
Sharing the prize
Greg M.
“We were at Boondocks in Kaysville. During our time there, our toddlers were eyeing the giant claw arcade game. We had one last credit to play and tried our luck at that game and we were unsuccessful. A teenager saw my daughters’ disappointment. He stepped up to the game, played and won as we watched. Then he unexpectedly turned to our daughters and gave them the prize. Their faces lit up and they were so happy. He wouldn’t accept money. He said, ‘I just wanted to see their faces.’
“Thank you for your example and giving us a teaching opportunity to pay it forward. Thank you for leaving a lasting impression of good in this world and looking beyond yourself.”
