SALT LAKE CITY — Here are 10 stories you may have missed this weekend. As always, click on the headline to read the full story.

1. Utah law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty remembered during trail ride

The Utah Peace Officer Association held its annual trail ride this weekend. It takes place on the Fallen Peace Officers Trail, where those who died in the line of duty in Utah are remembered.

The trail is 14 miles long, and at every mile there is a sign honoring a fallen officer. Every year, different officers are remembered.

2. Nearing end of global tour, LDS Church president visits people of Hong Kong

More than 4,000 members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints gathered together Saturday night in Hong Kong: the largest audience of any of President Nelson's stops on his global ministry tour.

3. GOP delegates force primary elections for both Mitt Romney and John Curtis

Republican delegates did not hand Mitt Romney the nomination for U.S. Senate on Saturday, pushing the 2012 presidential nominee into a primary election against state Rep. Mike Kennedy.

Kennedy edged Romney 51 percent to 49 percent in two rounds of voting among delegates at the Utah Republican Party state convention at the Maverik Center. A candidate needs 60 percent of the vote to win the nomination outright.

4. Laughter, tears as former first lady Barbara Bush remembered

Barbara Bush was remembered as the "first lady of the Greatest Generation" during a funeral Saturday attended by four former U.S. presidents and hundreds of other people who filled a Houston church with laughter as much as tears, with many recalling her quick wit and devotion to family.

5. Opposing teams disagree on what led to lacrosse game brawl

Days after a large fight broke out during a lacrosse game at Logan High School, coaches and parents say they were hoping to put the unfortunate event behind them. Instead, found themselves Friday working to set the record straight.

1. Behind Rubio triple-double, Jazz soundly defeat Thunder to take 2-1 series lead

Whatever the cause, the Jazz point guard found himself on fire in Saturday night's Game 3, finishing with Utah's first triple-double since 2008. Rubio finished with 26 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists, and most importantly, a 115-102 win to push the Jazz's series lead to 2-1.

2. Real Salt Lake scores 3 late goals en route to shutout win over rival Colorado

Albert Rusnak tallied a goal and an assist to propel Real Salt Lake to a 3-0 win Saturday night over rival Colorado at Rio Tinto Stadium.

3. Utah gymnastics finishes 5th in Super Six

The Red Rocks scored season lows on floor (49.1875) and vault (49.075), digging themselves in too deep of a hole as other teams exploded to excellence. Utah’s effort earned it a fifth-place 196.90 finish, mirroring last season’s result.

4. Strong start, bittersweet ending as Utah Warriors roll by Alberta in stadium opener

Josh Whippy scored three tries, and brother Jared Whippy added two more to help the Utah Warriors christen the brand-new Zions Bank Stadium with a 80-12 rout Friday night over the visiting Alberta Wolfpack.

5. Utah Royals take 2-2 road draw from NWSL-leading North Carolina

Brittany Ratcliffe scored her second career NWSL goal in the 66th minute to go ahead of league-leading North Carolina, and Utah Royals FC took a point on the road from the league-leading North Carolina Courage, 2-2 at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina.
