SALT LAKE CITY — Former Starbucks chief executive Howard Schultz, who's seriously considering a third-party run for president, is scheduled to hold events in Utah.
Schultz's "Heart of America" tour is set to stop in Salt Lake City Tuesday for a meeting with local business leaders at the Salt Lake Chamber offices and in Kaysville for a town hall meeting at the Davis Technical College.
On Wednesday, events are planned at the Lehi offices of Silicon Slopes, a nonprofit organization that represents Utah's technology sector, and the National Ability Center in Park City that provides adaptive outdoor recreation opportunities.
Schultz's visit follows a campaign swing by Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a Democratic candidate for president. Warren held a media event in Big Cottonwood Canyon and a rally at The Depot in downtown Salt Lake City.
Earlier this year, another Democratic presidential candidate, Julian Castro, a former secretary of Housing and Urban Development under President Barack Obama, spoke at the University of Utah.
