OREM — First responders are working to extinguish an active fire at Geneva Pipe Co.

Crews arrived at 1465 W. 400 North just before 6 p.m. Saturday, according to Orem Fire Battalion Chief Shaun Hirst, where they found heavy smoke coming from the building as the fire made its way to the roof.

It's likely a generator low on water caused the fire, Hirst said.

A single engine from Pleasant Grove Fire is assisting Orem Fire as they continue to fight the flames.

No one was in the building when the fire broke out, as the plant was closed for the day.

The total amount of damage is unknown.
