NORTH SALT LAKE — A truck driver was injured after his semitruck rolled off southbound I-15 in North Salt Lake just before noon on Monday.
The driver was turning onto I-215 from I-15 when he lost control of the semitruck and it rolled about 11:45 a.m., Utah Highway Patrol officials said.
The driver was either going too fast or simply lost control of the truck, according to UHP Cpl. Colton Freckleton.
The driver was conscious when officers initially made contact, but he later slipped into unconsciousness, Freckleton said. The driver still had a pulse and was breathing, however, and emergency personnel were extricating the man and planned to transport him to a hospital.
