SALT LAKE CITY — As fall leaves are blown away, set to be replaced with white snow, it's easy to see the holiday season is on its way. There’s something for everyone to enjoy as winter comes around the corner and the year comes to an end.

See what events will get you in the holiday spirit down below.

Northern Utah

Nov. 16: Salt Lake City Pet Expo

This expo is meant for pet owners to explore and find new pet products, services and exhibitions all in one place. Dog obedience and agility course demonstrations will also be on display with an open invitation for all pets to try. Admission is free. The expo will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Legacy Event Center, 151 S. 1100 West in Farmington.

Nov. 29 - 30: Novemberfest

This arts and crafts fair features decor, toys, clothing and much more. Baked goods and food will be available for purchase, as well as a few visits from Santa for the little ones. Tickets are $2 per person and children age 5 and under are free. It will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m, both Friday and Saturday at the Riverwoods Conference Center, 635 S. Riverwoods Parkway in Logan.

Nov. 30: Ogden Electric Light Parade

Ogden’s Electric Light Parade takes place every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, with its floats, live bands, and performers decked out in bright lights. It wraps up with the arrival of Santa riding in on his sleigh. The event is free to all and will start at 5 p.m. The parade route runs along 25th Street, between Wall Avenue and Washington Boulevard.

Salt Lake City area

Nov. 5 - Jan. 6: Harry Potter: Christmas in the Wizarding World

Entering its final year, this seasonal store brings the magical world of Harry Potter to life with its recreation of Hogsmeade Village from the popular book franchise. There are wands for purchase along with other merchandise from the “Harry Potter” and “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” franchises, like candy, jewels and collectibles. The pop-up shop is free to attend and is located at the Shops at South Towne, 10450 S. State in Sandy.

Nov. 14 - 17: Disney on Ice Presents Worlds of Enchantment

Join some of Disney’s most popular characters from their popular movies — like “Cars,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Toy Story” and “Frozen” — as they journey and adventure through their storylines. Tickets for the four-day show start at $10 for opening night and $17 for all other nights, with various dates and times at Vivint Smart Home Arena, 301 South Temple in Salt Lake City.

Nov. 15 - Jan. 6: Christmas in Color

This light show gives drivers a bright and colorful scenic route as they enjoy millions of lights set up and displayed for their viewing pleasure. Timed to music, this light show includes archways, giant candy canes and snowmen. Tickets are $26 per car. Hours are Monday-Thursday, 5:30-10 p.m., with Fridays and Saturdays from 5:30-10:30 p.m at the Salt Lake County Equestrian Park, 11161 S. 2200 West in South Jordan.

Nov. 21: Santa’s Magical Arrival

Celebrating the upcoming holidays, this event will get attendees in the Christmas spirit as they witness new decorations and a special dance performance from Westminster College’s dance program, all leading up to the arrival of Santa Claus. Admission is free for all, and the event will start at 6 p.m. at City Creek Center, 50 S. Main Street in Salt Lake City.

Nov. 21 - 23: Dickens' Christmas Festival

Unlike traditional Christmas decorations and festivities known across the United States, this event celebrates the holiday season similarly to the Renaissance era. Period clothing, fortune tellers and olde styled decorations will be available as attendees wait for Father Christmas. Tickets are $8 for adults, $7 for seniors, $6 for children ages 4 to 6, and free for any child under 3 years old. The festival will take place at the Salt Lake County Equestrian Park, 2100 W. 11400 South in South Jordan.

Nov. 29: Lights On!

The Gallivan Center will be set up for the holiday season with the help of bright string lights around the plaza. Hot chocolate, a DJ and ice skating are just a few things available to do while watching the 60-foot tree help light up the night. Admission is free, except for admission into the ice rink. The event will take place from 4-7 p.m. at the Gallivan Center, 239 S. Main Street in Salt Lake City.

Central Utah

Nov. 15: Lighting of Riverwoods

The annual Lighting of Riverwoods kicks off the holiday season with millions of hanging lights, live entertainment, hot drinks and a surprise visit from Santa Claus himself. The event is free for all and any proceeds made will benefit the Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia Foundation. It will be from 5:30-9 p.m. at The Shops at Riverwoods, 4801 N. University Ave. in Provo.

Nov. 20-23: Holy Cow! Boutique Christmas Show

Described as one of the most “popular craft and home décor boutiques,” this show will satiate any and all decorators and DIY-ers alike. This free event will be open from Wednesday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Lindon Community Center, 25 N. Main Street in Lindon.

Nov. 20-23: Barlow Ballet Nutcracker

In their rendition of the famous Christmas ballet "The Nutcracker" the Barlow Arts Conservatory will showcase the classic tale of Clara with her nutcracker prince. The performance has various showtimes with tickets starting at $12.50. It will take place in the Covey Center for the Arts at 425 W. Center in Provo.

Nov. 22: Luminaria

This mile-long walk at Ashton Gardens at Thanksgiving Point is illuminated by thousands of holiday lights that will act as pixels in a moving picture to help create stories based around the holiday season. Add its 40-foot lit-up tree and an interactive exhibit, and Luminaria has something for the entire family. The event goes from Nov. 22-Jan. 4. Ticket prices are set to change given the day of entry; they start at $17 for adults and $13 for children. Ashton Gardens at Thanksgiving Point is located at 3900 N. Garden Drive in Lehi.

Nov. 29: Pond Town Christmas

With lights set up on trees and reflected on the lake, Pond Town Christmas is ready for the holidays. To kick off their almost two-month-long display, they will have refreshments and a performance from the Nebo Philharmonic Orchestra at the Salem Community Center. The event is free for all and will start at 6 p.m. at Knoll Park, 150 W. 300 South in Salem.

Southern Utah

Nov. 21-24: Jubilee of Trees

Helping support the department of neuroscience services at Dixie Regional Medical Center, the Jubilee of Trees will have Christmas trees decorated and available for viewing and auction, along with other scheduled events and entertainment. Tickets are $5 for adults and $1 for children for general admission. Tickets for luncheons and the tree auction are separate. The event will take place at Dixie Regional Medical Center, 1380 E. Medical Center Drive in St. George.

Nov. 25-29: Kanab Polar Express

Based on the popular movie and children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg, the Kanab Polar Express will take attendees on an adventure as they go to bring their letter to Santa Claus, drinking hot chocolate and singing carols along the way. Tickets are $10 for one child, and children must be accompanied by an adult. One parent per child is admitted free, and children under age 2 also get in free. Departure times are at 6 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. at 76 N Main Street in Kanab.
