Police: 2 dead after man shoots woman, then killed while fleeing
Two people are confirmed dead following a shooting in American Fork, the Utah County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Sunday night.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said Sunday that it won't grant an easement for the Dakota Access oil pipeline in southern North Dakota, handing a victory to the Standing Rock Sioux tribe and its supporters, who argued the project would threaten the tribe's water source and cultural sites.
Police: WVC squad car stolen, recovered
Police are searching for a man who they say stole a squad car after officers responded to a report of a disturbance Sunday morning.

Donald Trump is now considering more than four people for secretary of state, senior adviser Kellyanne Conway said Sunday.

The University of Utah accepted an invitation to play the Indiana Hoosiers in the Foster Farms Bowl. The Utes jumped Stanford in the bowl order despite finishing with the sixth-best record in the Pac-12.
The Cougars will face Mountain West runner-up Wyoming in the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl on Dec. 21, the schools announced Sunday in conjunction with the San Diego Bowl Game Association.
Alohi Robins-Hardy dished out 46 assists and 12 digs off the bench, and Veronica Jones-Perry spiked 17 kills to lead the No. 13-seeded Cougars to a 25-23, 25-21, 25-12 sweep of UNLV, advancing to the Cougars’ fifth-straight regional semifinal Saturday night at the Smith Fieldhouse.
Bree Hammel had 18 kills, seven digs and seven blocks to lead unseeded UNLV to a 27-25, 25-21, 19-25, 25-20 upset of the Utes in the Smith Fieldhouse.
Adora Anae led Utah with 21 kills, 13 digs and two blocks, and Carly Trueman supplied 15 kills for the Utes, who lost the final six points of the match.
The 2016 high school football season wrapped up with state titles won by Bingham, East, Desert Hills, Juan Diego, Beaver and Duchesne.
