LAWRENCE, Kan. Evan Battey lead the way for the Buffaloes, scoring 14 points on a 5-for-8 shooting. Colorado forced 21 Kansas turnovers, but the Jayhawks shot 52.9% to outlast the Buffaloes.

WACO, Texas (AP) — MaCio Teague scored 19 points, Freddie Gillespie had 17 points and 13 rebounds and No. 18 Baylor handed 12th-ranked Arizona its first loss, 63-58. Admission was free at Baylor's campus arena with the Bears playing in Oklahoma the Big 12 football championship game. The title game started about the same time 100 miles north of Waco at the home of the Dallas Cowboys. It was supposed to be the first true road game for the Wildcats, but their fans might have outnumbered the Baylor contingent. Baylor ended Arizona's 52-game home winning streak last December.

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — Romello White had 19 points and 14 rebounds, Rob Edwards added 17 points and Arizona State returned to the desert to beat Louisiana-Lafayette 77-65. Playing their first home game since Nov. 17, the Sun Devils were good in stretches, seemed to be going through the motions in others.

The Utes started strong, quickly grabbing a 23-11 lead by the 12:10 mark of the first half. Central Arkansas closed that gap to 30-26 with eight minutes left in the half. Utah answered with an 18-6 run which gave them a 55-42 halftime lead over the Bears. Utes freshman Rylan Jones suffered a rib contusion in the first half and didn’t return for the game. He had two points and one assist in nine minutes of play.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — Guglielmo Caruso had 16 points and a career-high 12 rebounds, and Santa Clara built an early double-digit lead and coasted past California 71-52. DJ Mitchell added 14 points and seven rebounds, and Jalen Williams scored 12 points to lead the Broncos to their first win over the Golden Bears in 26 years. Santa Clara (9-2) bounced back from a 31-point loss at Nevada and dominated its Bay Area rival despite 20 turnovers. Matt Bradley scored 14 points on 4-of-15 shooting for California. The Bears (5-4) after opening the season with four consecutive wins.

Onyenwere made 8 of 10 field goals and had seven rebounds for the Bruins (8-0), who are off to their best start since the 1980-81 season when they won their first 12 games. It was Onyenwere's fifth game this season scoring more than 20 points, yet the Bruins shot just 33% overall from the floor.
