(AP) - COMPLETED FORECLOSURES: Foreclosure listing firm RealtyTrac says that the number of U.S. homes repossessed by lenders in October dipped 1 percent from the previous month and declined 29 percent versus October last year.
FORECLOSURE STARTS: The number of homes that got started on the foreclosure path in October rose 2 percent from the previous month, but fell 34 percent from a year earlier.
POSITIVE TREND: As of the end of October, the nation is on pace to end this year with just under 500,000 completed foreclosures, down from 671,251 last year.
