SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Utah's unemployment rate held steady last month at 3.1 percent.

That's according to new numbers released Friday by Utah's Department of Workforce Services.

The department says Utah's February jobless rate remained lower than the national rate, which has hovered at 4.1 percent for several months.

Workforce Services economist Carrie Mayne says Utah saw more jobs in February 2018 than a year earlier in a number of industries, with the exception of the natural resources and mining industry.
