SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- "American Idol" star David Archuleta will sing the national anthem at Gov. Jon Huntsman's inauguration.

Archuleta is from Murray and also sang at Huntsman's first inauguration four years ago.

This spring, Huntsman declared May 9 "David Archuleta Day" before an Archuleta performance at Murray High School that was filmed for the television series.

The inauguration will take place on the front steps of the State Capitol just before noon Monday and is open to the public. Seating will be limited.

In addition to Huntsman, Lt. Gov. Gary Herbert and Attorney General Mark Shurtleff will also be inaugurated. The ceremony is expected to last about half an hour.
