WEST JORDAN — Both directions of Redwood Road have reopened and a TRAX bus bridge was set up for nearly an hour after a crash between a TRAX train and a vehicle Monday afternoon, officials said.
The crash happened at Redwood Road near 8100 South before 3 p.m., according to Utah Department of Transportation officials. Utah Transit Authority spokesman Carl Arky said a TRAX train collided with a car on Redwood Road.
The driver of the car suffered minor injuries and was transported to a hospital as a precaution, Arky said. Nobody on the train was injured.
UDOT officials said the crash closed both directions of the road at 8100 South. Redwood Road lanes reopened about 4 p.m.
Utah Transit Authority officials said a bus bridge has been set up for Red Line trains between 2700 West and West Jordan City Center shortly before 3 p.m. but was canceled shortly after 3:40 p.m., Arky said.
