DEER VALLEY — A skier died after colliding with a tree at Deer Valley Resort Tuesday, according to officials.
The accident occurred on the Keno ski run just above Nabob on Bald Mountain about 11:30 a.m., according to the Deer Valley Ski Patrol.
The 65-year-old man from Florida was pronounced dead at the scene after ski patrol and Air Med staff responded to the accident and made unsuccessful efforts to revive him, they said. He was taken to the Summit County Sheriff's Office.
The man was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, according to resort officials.
His name has not yet been released as the Park City Police Department tries to contact the next of kin.
