LOGAN – Early Monday morning, two men robbed a motel office, threatening the clerk with a gun.

Around 3:38 a.m. Monday, Logan police officers responded to a robbery that had just taken place at Super 8 Motel on 865 S. Main Street. Officers found the motel clerk visibly distressed but unharmed, they reported.

The clerk said two masked men entered the motel early Monday morning. One man brandished a semi-automatic handgun and told the clerk to lay on the floor. The clerk complied and the other man bound the clerk’s hands with duct tape.

With the clerk bound and on the floor, the two men located an undisclosed amount of cash and fled from the west entrance of the building, police said.

Police described the robbers as slim- to medium-build white males. The first man was about 5-foot 10-inches tall and wore a green mesh camouflage face mask and a black hooded sweatshirt. The second man is described as 6-foot 1-inch tall, wearing a black mesh face mask and dark-colored hooded sweatshirt at the time of the robbery.

Anyone with information about the men or robbery is asked to call the Logan City Police Department at 435-716-9300.
