Holy Cross hires Amanda Belichick as women's lacrosse coach

WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) — Another Belichick will be coaching in Massachusetts.

Holy Cross hired Amanda Belichick as its women's lacrosse coach on Friday. She is the daughter of New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick.

Amanda Belichick was the coach at her alma mater, Wesleyan, the last two seasons. She has also served as an assistant at Ohio State and UMass.

She had 47 goals and 25 assists as a player at Wesleyan, serving as team captain as a senior, before graduating in 2007.

Holy Cross is in Worcester, about 50 miles northwest of Foxborough.
