HEBER -- A 19-year-old West Valley City woman is in serious condition after a crash involving two jet skis at Jordanelle Reservoir Sunday.

According to officials with Utah State Parks and Recreation, the victim was riding as a passenger on a jet ski when the driver of another jet ski rear-ended her watercraft.

Rescue crews pulled the woman onto a ranger boat and were able to stabilize her before she was flown to a Salt Lake City hospital. The driver of the jet ski she was riding suffered minor injuries and was quickly treated and released from the hospital.

The two people on the second jet ski were unhurt.

Rangers cited the driver of the second jet ski, a family member of the victim, for violating the speed and proximity law which requires riders to stay 150 feet away from other watercraft at all times.
