ROY — One person is dead after a crash in Roy involving three vehicles, police in Roy confirmed Thursday.
Officers were called to the crash near 4750 S. 1900 West about 5:35 p.m., said Roy Police Sgt. Josh Taylor.
One person was killed, and another person was taken to a hospital with injuries that did not appear life-threatening, according to Taylor.
Officials said the Weber Metro Crash Team is on scene investigating what led to the crash.
The incident has prompted significant delays in the area; the Utah Department of Transportation said southbound 1900 West at 4800 South is closed, with an estimated clearance time of 12:24 a.m. Friday.
