OGDEN, Utah (AP) -- Does Weber County have too many cats?
County officials think so. So they're proposing a limit of five per home, instead of nine cats.
The ordinance got a first airing this week. It also would require motorists to notify a pet's owner if they hit an animal.
As for cats, a manager at the Weber County shelter says there's a feline crisis. Cats who roamed free are losing their habitat as land is developed. Someone recently dropped off seven cats.
