PARK CITY — Bloggers, business owners and social media fans are expected to converge at the Canyons Resort for the 2011 Evo conference on women's social media.

The sold-out, two-day conference will feature national experts in social media, some big names in marketing, and will even include a few guest appearances from "Sesame Street" characters.

"It's all about evolution and the evolution of women in social media," said conference organizer Rachael Herrscher, who owns and runs Today's Mama. The conference runs July 7-9. Although sold out, people can place themselves on a waiting list for tickets at the Evo'11 website.

The conference will feature several hands-on workshops, including blog writing, public relations, meal and food styling, and food photography. Guest speakers will include Me Ra Koh, who appears as a photo expert on NBC's "The Nate Berkus Show," and photo recipes have been featured on "Oprah," Lifetime Television and VH1. She is also the author of the bestselling book, "Your Baby in Pictures: The New Parent's Guide to Photographing Your Baby's First Year."

Other speakers include Miles Ludwig, vice president and executive producer, Digital Media, for Sesame Street; Molly O'Donnell, director of marketing communications for Kinect for Xbox 360; Andrea Wishom, a senior supervising producer and 17-year veteran of "The Oprah Winfrey Show"; and Jonathon Sinclair, who helped create “The Dr. Oz Show,” and “Nate Berkus Show” for Harpo Studios in Chicago.

Herrscher and fellow Utahn Jyl Johnson Pattee, who runs Mom It Forward, worked to create the first conference last year, which drew more than 300 people. Herrscher said this year's conference is expected to draw over 350. But the two women have made an effort to keep the conference small and accessible, despite its growing popularity. Evo has also drawn some big sponsors, including McDonald's, Kodak and Johnson & Johnson.

As bloggers, "we wanted to plant our flag in the West," Herrscher said, adding that the Wasatch Front is a "shaking" place for growing social media outlets.

The Evo conference provides a lead-in to the much larger BlogHer conference in San Diego from Aug. 5-6.
