SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Questar Gas customers could be facing higher heating bills next winter.
Utility officials told the Desert News editorial board that the increase would increase the average residential bill by about 36 percent.
Quester Gas President Alan Allred says the change will take prices back to what they were in the winter of 2005-06.
Questar says that the typical Utah household pays about $55 a month for natural gas. The proposed increase would push bills to about $75 per month.
The utility is expected to submit the proposed rate increase to the Utah Public Service Commission this week.
