SARATOGA SPRINGS — A 4-year-old is recovering in the hospital after nearly drowning at a neighborhood pool in Saratoga Springs Wednesday.

About 5:45 p.m, crews were dispatched to the Legacy Farms private pool near 379 E. Willowstone Lane, Fire Chief Kenny Johnson said.

A bystander performed CPR on the 4-year-old boy until first responders arrived.

The boy was taken to a hospital in serious condition but was said to be doing better upon his arrival, according to Johnson.

The child's current condition was unknown, and officials did not release any further information regarding the incident.
