OREM — An Orem man who prosecutors say made a 17-year-old boy perform various sex acts as they Skyped now faces a long list of charges.

Johnathon Scott Lindsay, 29, was charged Monday in 4th District Court with 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree felony; and 10 counts of criminal solicitation, a third-degree felony.

For five days in May, Lindsay engaged in Skype video chats with a 17-year-old boy in Massachusetts, according to charging documents.

“During these chats, Lindsay would adopt a dominating role, ordering (the boy) to take compromising photos and videos as ‘proof’ he was obeying Lindsay’s orders, such as unzipping his pants... to prove he had gone to school or was doing yard work without underwear at Lindsay’s request,” the charges state.

Lindsay would also have the boy perform sex acts while he watched on video, according to charging documents.

Police seized Lindsay’s phone and computers.

“Lindsay was found to have received 123 files with videos or photos of (the boy) exposing (himself) and performing sexual acts,” the charges state.
