(KSL News) Questar crews repaired a gas leak near Trolley Square this morning.
Officials say a contractor hit a plastic gas line near 600 South and 600 East around 8:30.
Fire crews isolated the area and kept possible ignition sources away from the leak. Darren Shepherd, spokesman for Questar Gas, said, "Unless there is the right mixture of gas and air, it just won't ignite, nor is there an ignition source nearby. So we feel pretty confident in being able to make the repair quickly."
Questar crews clamped the line, which allowed them to maintain gas service to the mall.
No one was evacuated.
