OGDEN — A person died Tuesday in a crash involving a motorcycle on Washington Boulevard.

Officers responded to 3355 Washington Blvd. at about 12:30 p.m., according to dispatchers.

Robert Bow, 68, was driving a motorcycle when police said a Ford Escape exited a parking lot turning left. Bow was unable to avoid the collision and struck the front end of the vehicle, police said.

Witnesses and Ogden fire crews attempted lifesaving measures at the scene. Bow, however, died as a result of the crash, police said.

Ogden police thanked the community members who stopped to assist or attempted to provide aid at the scene of the crash.

Police also cautioned drivers to use extra caution on the roads during the summer months.

"Please slow down, stay alert, keep a proper lookout for motorcycles, bicycles, pedestrians and other vehicles, and make safe driving a priority every time you get behind the wheel."
