JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — Hollywood movie producer Adam Rosenfelt says he'll be donating part of any profits from his new Jackson studio to the Mississippi Building Blocks early childhood education program.

Building Blocks Director April May tells The Clarion-Ledger (http://on.thec-l.com/1ggVdD2) the program helps existing licensed child care centers improve teaching and improve school readiness for kindergarteners.

Rosenfelt, who last week announced a deal for a Christmas comedy starring Diane Keaton and Alan Arkin to be shot in and around Jackson, said he plans to donate 10 percent of profits from Mississippi Studios to state charities and to create a film-training initiative and job training program for high school kids.

Rosenfelt and partner Maureen Meulen say Mississippi Building Blocks is the first of likely several state organizations to which the studio will donate.
