CROATIA — Spectators at a motorsport rally almost got more than they bargained for during an event in Croatia.
The short clip posted Tuesday shows a man who appears to be filming the 2024 Croatia rally near Okić, narrowly avoiding being hit by a rally car.
Dozens of people standing on a grassy surface away from the action watch as the car quickly approaches a hill in the road before its wheels briefly lift off the ground — seemingly gliding through the air due to the elevated pavement.
The cameraman who sees the fast-approaching car dives out of harm's way, as the car didn't appear poised to stop in time.
"The rally car almost hit the media man," a caption on the video reads.
The man darts to the other side of the road into a grassy area and out of the camera's sight.
