NATURE — Grizzly bears can be absolute brutes, reaching weights well over 1,000 pounds. Despite this considerable size, they can really hit the jets when they want to.
A recently featured Have You Seen This? video highlighted this fact by showing a grizzly chasing some wild horses in Canada. There was debate in the article's comments section over whether the bear was capable of catching the horses, but it was undoubtedly moving fast.
The speed of grizzlies is once again showcased in this amazing video.
The people in the car were traveling about 40 mph and, as you can see, the grizzly was nearly keeping pace.
Most experts say that grizzlies can hit top speeds of about 35 mph, which is even faster than the smaller black bear is capable of.
Based on this video, it looks like they might even be able to exceed 35 mph when they really want to impress a car full of humans.
