ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Concordia University Ann Arbor is reopening its newly renovated and revamped Kreft Center for the Arts.

The Ann Arbor News reports (http://bit.ly/1KqfBwx ) an open house and dedication take place Friday.

The first exhibit in the renovated center will host a collection of paintings, drawings and sculptures from the personal collection of Karl and Shirley Kreft. Throughout the year the Kreft Center for the Arts will host gallery showings and theater productions.

Curt Gielow, CEO of the school, says in statement that the Kreft Center "has long been the creative hub of Concordia University Ann Arbor, a place where students and the community are inspired through the fine arts to grow in mind, body and spirit."
