(KSL News) -- A Salt Lake County man involved in a fatal fight over a woman is behind bars.

Paul Madill was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail, charged with manslaughter and obstruction of justice.

West Jordan Police say Madill was involved in a fight with Clint Barber last night. Police sat Madill hit Barber with a ceramic mug. A piece of that mug sliced an artery in Barber's neck.

Paramedics tried to treat his wound, but he died at the scene.
