SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The honeymoon didn't last long. A man is in the Salt Lake County Jail tonight after he tried to run over his new wife.

James Olwine and Katie Martindale were married last weekend in Las Vegas.

Police received an emergency call from someone reporting a couple fighting in a car Monday as they traveled on Highland Drive.

Police say Martindale got out of the car and started to walk away when Olwine drove off the road and hit her with the car, pushing her into a snowbank.

She was not seriously injured.

Olwine was booked into the county jail on charges of aggravated assault with a vehicle.
