(Salt Lake City, KSL News) -- Five people are out of their homes this morning after a two-alarm fire at a Murray apartment building.
A resident heard some popping and crackling sounds in her apartment.
She then saw flames coming from her bedroom, so she called the fire department.
Fire crews think the fire originated on the porch of the apartment and then moved up, damaging four others. One is a total loss.
Damage is estimated at more than $100,000 dollars.
