(Salt Lake City - KSL News) A search is underway for a 2 1/2 - month old baby who disappeared tonight from the ZCMI Mall Food Court.

Jennifer Triplet said she went out to smoke a cigarette, leaving her baby boy Nicholas inside with a female acquaintance for about eight minutes. Triplet said she had a bad feeling, went back inside, and discovered her friend and the child were gone.

Triplet said she had known the woman for two months, and believes that the woman kidnapped her baby.

"She took my baby," said Triplett, "she always tells me, if she takes my baby somewhere, she says: 'Jennifer, I'm taking your son to the store.' And now, she didn’t say anything."

Police say a male suspect is involved as well. They also say the suspects may be transients.

Police are looking for a 5'2" 30-year-old male suspect with long red hair pulled back into a ponytail, and a 19-year-old Caucasian or Hispanic female suspect, with her hair shaved on the side in Mohawk style. Both suspects were dressed in all black.
