(Salt Lake City-AP) -- Two people were convicted yesterday for kidnapping and killing 21-year-old Amy Tavey.

Her dead body was pulled from the Jordan River in May. Her boyfriend had been kidnapped as well, but managed to escape.

After six hours of deliberation, the jury convicted reputed triggerman Darius Malaga of murder, kidnapping and robbery. Silia Olive, who participated in the murderous plot, was convicted of murder and kidnapping as well.

Both face up to life in prison when they are sentenced March 17 by 3rd District Judge Anthony Quinn.
