SOUTH SALT LAKE — Two women and a man accused of participating in a plan to rob a man were arrested Tuesday following a confrontation that culminated in an assault, a vehicle being rammed and a shot fired.

Jasmine Leeann Toledo, 23, and America Renee Gallegos, 20, were each booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of aggravated assault resulting in serious injury and aggravated robbery. Wednesday afternoon, Anryque Leonel Sanchez, 20, was also arrested for investigation of aggravated assault resulting in serious injury, aggravated robbery and violation of a protective order.

The incident began when Toledo and Gallegos went to a man's house in South Salt Lake to do drugs, according to a police booking affidavit. Toledo is described by police as "a former intimate partner" of the victim.

Police say the two women left the residence after a fight over money. The women then met with Sanchez and a teen boy and the four allegedly developed a plan to go back and rob the victim.

"The juvenile suspect then assaulted the victim with a firearm at the doorway of the victim's residence. The juvenile suspect then pointed the firearm at the victim, threatening to kill him before robbing him of money and property," a police booking affidavit states.

When the teen left the residence, the victim followed.

"While this was occurring (Sanchez) entered the victim's residence (and) stole additional property before fleeing," the affidavit states.

Sanchez and the teen were then picked up by the two women. Despite injuries to his face, the victim followed in his car and at one point rammed the vehicle with the four people inside, according to police.

"The juvenile suspect then fired a round at the the victim, which hit his vehicle and went into the cabin, narrowly missing the victim," the affidavit says.

The two women were later arrested. After learning Sanchez's identity, detectives learned that he had an appointment on Wednesday with his case agent with Adult Probation and Parole for being convicted of a previous crime. When he showed up to that appointment, he was arrested, according to the affidavit.

Sanchez was convicted of robbery, a second-degree felony, a little over a year ago, according to court records. His prison sentence of 1 to 15 years was suspended and he was placed on three years probation.
