MIDVALE -- Elementary school students will donate some gifts Monday that will keep needy families warm all winter long.

The students from East Midvale Elementary School raised more than $1,200 to make fleece blankets. They made 112 blankets themselves.

On Monday night, they'll deliver the blankets to the Road Home shelter.

The student council came up with the idea and got the whole school involved. East Midvale Elementary is a Title 1 school, so a lot of students who are pitching in to help are often receiving the help.
