(KSL TV) Police are still searching for a suspect in a triple murder that happened early Saturday morning.
Aristeo Torres, Juan Alberto Ruiz and Lorie Roberta Gurule were all shot to death sitting in a SUV in the parking lot of a 7-11 at 960 W. North Temple.
Police say that no one saw the shootings -- but witnesses reported hearing as many as seven gun shots.
Two people also told police that they saw a white car speeding out of the parking lot. But investigators don't know how and if it's related to the case.
Capt. Mark Peck/ Salt Lake City Police Dept.: "QUITE FRANKLY, WE JUST DON'T KNOW AT THIS POINT WHETHER WE HAVE A RANDOM SHOOTING OR IF IT'S RELATED TO SOME OTHER TYPE OF INCIDENT THAT WENT ON IN THE PARKING LOT."
Detectives say that they have no motive in the murders and that none of the victims were armed.
If you have any information about the shooting, call the Salt Lake City police department.
