SALT LAKE CITY -- Airmen from Hill Air Force Base took on a special mission Tuesday. They delivered gifts and money to 340 foster kids in foster homes throughout the Salt Lake Valley.
"They see the men in camouflage and just say, ‘This is really neat!' And it makes the children in foster care feel really special, because a lot are not going to be in biological homes this Christmas and that can be really hard," said Deborah Linder, with the Utah Foster Care Foundation.
Staff Sgt. Brandon Baldwin said, "You don't know where they come from and what their past has been like, but their future is really bright."
The gifts were all donated by Utahns and businesses to the Utah Foster Care Foundation.
