SALT LAKE CITY -- The life of a Utah mom will be honored at this year's Rose Parade.
Caroline Bryant was involved in a car crash in 1997. At the time, she was pregnant with her son, Carter.
Doctors were able to save Carter's life, but Caroline passed away. Her family donated her organs to seven people, including Tyla Newbold.
On Tuesday, Tyla and Carter helped decorate a picture of Caroline made out of spices and seeds. It will be part of the "Donate Life" float at the Rose Parade in California.
"It's just a reminder that some good can come out the tragedies that we have," said Caroline's husband, Cody Bryant. "Hopefully, if one of my family members needed an organ, someone else would be willing to donate their organs; and there's a lot of people out there waiting for organs that can be helped."
Tyla and Carter will both get to ride on the float. The parade takes place New Years Day.
