(KSL News) – If orange cones and construction crews are slowing your commute, your not alone.

Crews are building a highway divider on I-215 near the I-15 interchange, one of 75-road projects going on this summer in Utah. UDOT says it's high season for road construction, because of the mild weather. And you can expect many more road closures this summer.

Tom Houdacko/Utah Dept. of Transportation: "WE'RE IN A SITUATION WHERE A LOT OF THE WORK WE DO REQUIRES US TO CLOSE THE FREEWAYS FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR WORKERS, FOR THE SAFETY OF MOTORISTS, AND WE CAN GET MORE WORK DONE THAT WAY ... A WEEKEND CLOSURE, WHILE IT MIGHT INCONVENIENCE MOTORISTS FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS ALLOWS US TO MAKE A LOT OF PROGRESS ON OUR PROJECTS."

You can dial 511 on your cell phone for the latest road info.

Overnight closures on I-15 are in the works for later this summer, and construction through Parley's Canyon will also slow you down.
