SALT LAKE COUNTY -- Traffic on I-80 near 1300 East is now back to normal. The freeway was closed in both directions Friday morning because of a fallen utility line.

A contractor clipped a Comcast fiber-optics line, and it fell onto the freeway.

Crews closed the freeway while they worked to fix the problem.

Comcast service to parts of Rose Park, West Valley City, Grantsville, Tooele and Kearns is out. A spokesman for Comcast says service to some homes and businesses has been restored. Service should be completely restored sometime tonight.
