Sammy Linebaugh ReportingTragedy tonight after lightning strikes in Summit County killing two adults and injuring their three children.

It happened around 5:30 tonight in an area around Crystal Lake which is about 25 miles east of Kamas in the Uinta mountains near Mirror Lake.

The parents were sitting near the shore of the lake under some trees when the lightning struck, killing them. Their three children, all under eight-years old were nearby and injured. All three children were flown by helicopter to Salt Lake hospitals and are expected to recover.

Authorities are now in the process of notifying the next of kin.
