(Salt Lake City-AP) -- A toddler was found alone in a downtown motel room along with the body of her dead mother.
The woman was found by the Super 8 Motel's manager when he went to check on her around 10 am yesterday.
She was in a bed and the little girl thought her mother was sleeping.
A coroner will perform an autopsy but the woman had diabetes and police believe she died of natural causes.
The manager said the woman was homeless and gave the pair a free room and food for five days before she was found dead.
The little girl was placed in a shelter while Division of Child and Family Services finds family or friends who know the little girl.
