Susan Wood ReportingA surprised mother and her two babies are doing fine this evening after a wild ride to the hospital. In fact, the babies couldn't wait to actually make it to the hospital.

One new mother went through a lot more than very quick delivery. At about 2:30 a.m. yesterday she started feeling contractions. Her husband wasn't home, so she awakened her sister who lives next door.
As they drove to the hospital they found the road was closed. They tried a back road, but got lost. They wound up at a gas station. She started giving birth inside the truck while the gas station attendant phoned for help.
Two officers arrived as the first of the two babies boys was already being delivered. The officers called for help from the fire department who arrived in time to help deliver the second child.
The babies and their mother are just fine today, and ready to go home from the hospital.
