(KSL News) -- Police have arrested a man in connection with a killing that rocked a quiet Kearns neighborhood.

Brauio Cortez was driving home early Sunday morning when someone shot and killed him. Deputies say Cortez and the man they believe shot him--Eduardo Barba--had been arguing for months.

Peggy Faulkner: "This is a historical confrontation between the two men. They had some kind of disagreement over money. One owed the other money."

Police say Barba was chasing Cortez after an argument earlier in the evening. Witnesses to the shooting were able to get a license plate number of the shooter's car -- and that led to Barba's arrest.
