COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Andy Dalton (TCU), Chris Prosinski (Wyoming) and Joe Phillips (Utah) are Mountain West Conference Players of the Week for games through Nov. 28. Dalton earns Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Prosinski garners the Defensive Player award and Phillips receives Special Teams recognition. This marks the second player of the week honor for Dalton this season, and in his career, while Prosinski and Phillips are both first time recipients.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ANDY DALTON, TCU
Junior, Quarterback, Katy, Texas/Katy HS
Junior quarterback Andy Dalton completed 15-of-24 passes for 228 yards and a tied a career high with four touchdown passes to lead No. 4 TCU to a 51-10 victory over New Mexico. The Katy, Texas, native had touchdown passes of 17, 62, 20 and 24 yards. He also rushed for touchdown and compiled 45 yards on nine carries en route to the Horned Frogs second outright Mountain West Conference title since 2005.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
CHRIS PROSINSKI, WYOMING
Junior, Defensive Back, Buffalo, Wyo./Buffalo HS
Junior defensive back Chris Prosinski registered 10 tackles (including nine solo), a tackle for loss and forced a fumble in Wyoming's 17-16 win at Colorado State to secure a bowl berth for the Cowboys. The biggest play of the day for the Buffalo, Wyo., native came in the fourth quarter when Colorado State had a third and goal on the Wyoming four-yard line. He tackled CSU's Dion Morton for a two-yard loss that forced the Rams to kick a field goal that kept the Cowboys within two points at 14-16. Wyoming kicked a 33-yard field goal on its next possession (1:27 remaining in the game) to capture the win.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JOE PHILLIPS, UTAH
Junior, Place Kicker, Salt Lake City, Utah/Snow College
Junior place kicker Joe Phillips connected on a career-high five field goals in No. 21 Utah's 23-26 loss at No. 19 BYU. The Salt Lake City, Utah, native made field goals from 39, 21, 31, 40 and 29 yards in the game. His 40-yard kick with 29 seconds remaining in the contest tied the game and sent it into overtime.
