(KSL News) An early morning high speed chase takes West Valley City police all the way to Farmington.
The chase ended on 200 West State Street in Farmington after the suspect crashed into a tree.

Police started chasing the man in West Valley earlier in the night after police discovered the car he was driving was stolen.
Sgt. Peters, West Valley City Police Department: "They attempted to stop the car at 35th South and Redwood Road in West Valley. He then fled, up onto 215 where the vehicle reached speeds of 80-90 miles per hour on I-215 and I-15."
Police think the cars tires were spiked by Utah HIghway Patrol troopers. That may have been why the man crashed into the tree.

He was airlifted to the hospital. No one else was hurt during the incident.
