SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Now that the holiday travel season is here, the Salt Lake City International Airport has some tips to make the busy time a little easier.

Airport officials say it's especially important to arrive early for flights. The recommended time is at least 90 minutes, but allow two hours for early morning flights, the heaviest travel days and for international flights.

To avoid lines inside the terminal, print boarding passes ahead of time when possible. Wear slip-on shoes that can easily be removed at the security checkpoint and do not try to bring wrapped presents on the flight.

People who are picking up travelers arriving at the airport are advised to use park-and-wait lots.
