SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The Crossroads Urban Center in Salt Lake City plans to distribute holiday turkeys to needy families this year.

The center says it will give away 3,700 turkeys on Wednesday at the Indian Walk-In Center at 120 W. 1300 South from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., or until all the turkeys are gone.

The turkeys will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis.

Crossroads is a social services agency that operates an emergency food pantry throughout the year.
